Architect and PhD Architect from the University of Navarra with Honours. Fulbright Fellow and Master in Architecture & Building Design from Columbia University, he has been a Full Professor at the School of Architecture in Madrid and has received the Jorge Montes (2009) and Luis Barragán (2011) Awards. Visiting Professor at Spanish, European and American universities, he is currently Chair Professor of Architectural Design, and he was Coordinator of the Doctorate Program in Applied Creativity (2012-18) and Dean of the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra (2015-2021). author of more than 250 specialized articles and director of 25 doctoral theses, he is an accredited researcher with 5 six-year terms in the field of the theory and history of the Architecture and Design, member of the scientific committee of 4 indexed journals and evaluator of the ANECA and ANEP programs. 

Founder and Director of "AH asociados" architecture office, awarded with 75 first prizes in national and international competitions. Their work has been a finalist in the COAVN, VI BEAU, IV Exhibition of Spanish Architects, Veteco, Murcia Prize, FAD, Construmat and Saloni Awards; and granted the SEDIGAS 2002, PAD 2003, APCE 2005, COAVN 2007 and NaN 2009 and 2011 Awards. He has also a monograph of his recent work, exhibited at the Venice Biennial (2008 and 2012) and in international publications such as El Croquis, A+T, AV, A+W, C3 and Detail; or in the guides "Architecture of Spain 1929/1996", "Spanish Architecture 1920/2000", "GAN SXX" and "Phaidon World Atlas of Architecture".

Javier Lecumberri es Arquitecto por la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad de Navarra (ETSAUN). Su trayectoria profesional destaca por una sólida proyección internacional y una amplia experiencia en la gestión de proyectos de gran envergadura, especialmente en los sectores de usos mixtos y arquitectura comercial.

Su perfil global se consolidó durante más de seis años en la firma internacional Chapman Taylor, donde participó en todas las fases de desarrollo de proyectos complejos tanto en España como en el extranjero, asumiendo además responsabilidades estratégicas como Business Developer. Tras su paso por FSGROUP Engineering como Director de Proyectos, se incorporó en 2024 al equipo de ah asociados para liderar la dirección técnica y operativa de la firma.

Como Director de Proyectos, Javier destaca por su carácter emprendedor y su capacidad para aportar soluciones innovadoras mediante un pensamiento crítico y constructivo. Especialista en la coordinación de equipos multidisciplinares, su liderazgo se basa en la flexibilidad, la adaptabilidad a entornos dinámicos y una excelente capacidad comunicativa para la presentación de ideas. Holding a degree in Business Administration and continuously updating her strategic expertise through executive education at IESE Business School, Ana Castel-Ruiz leads the management of ah asociados, bringing a high-value executive perspective to the firm.

With over 20 years of experience as a Financial Director in various companies, Ana specializes in internal organization and in maximizing the performance and profitability of multidisciplinary teams. Her role at the studio focuses on balancing creative and architectural ambition with a solid, efficient operational structure prepared to face the challenges of international markets.

Her professional approach stands out for transforming financial planning into a strategic tool for growth, ensuring that the firm’s human talent and technical resources work in perfect alignment. Under her leadership, the management of ah asociados is positioned at the forefront of business efficiency within the architectural sector.

Begoña es arquitecta senior con más de 20 años de experiencia en dirección y coordinación de proyectos de edificación, especialmente en el ámbito sanitario y proyectos públicos.

Amplia trayectoria en obra, gestión de modificados y coordinación multidisciplinar de arquitectura, estructura e instalaciones, con interlocución directa con administraciones y clientes.

Acostumbrada a asumir responsabilidades transversales y a liderar equipos técnicos en fases críticas de ejecución.

Cuento además con certificación Passivhaus Designer, lo que aporta una visión rigurosa en eficiencia energética y calidad constructiva en proyectos de edificación compleja.

Architect graduated from the University of Navarra, with a strong international and strategic profile. I built my career over five years in Qatar, working on large-scale, highly complex projects. Since 2022, I have served as Director of the Urban Planning Department at AH Asociados, leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering innovative, sustainable urban solutions with a clear focus on long-term impact and integrated territorial planning.

María José is an Architect, specialized in Urban Planning, from the University of Navarra. She is a specialist in Building Systems and in Construction Organization and Technology, and holds a Master’s degree in Building Construction from the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra. She has been working at AH Asociados since 2001, where she serves as Head of Quality and Innovation. She has participated in the management and development of more than 35 European, national and regional R&D&I projects funded through public calls for proposals, all successfully carried out within the firm.

Paula graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of the University of the Basque Country. She joined ah asociados in 2016. She currently combines her skills as BIM Manager and Project Coordinator, managing digital modelling, optimising processes and ensuring coordination between disciplines. Her approach enables the planning and supervision of every project phase, fostering effective collaboration between clients, the team and external partners.

Iñigo es arquitecto por la Universidad de San Sebastián en 2016. En 2017 cursa a distancia el postgrado en Bim Management en la Universidad de Barcelona. Más adelante completa su formación BIM con el certificado profesional en fundamentos BIM de la building Smart y otros cursos. Su experiencia profesional comenzó tras graduarse trabajando en ah en 2016 del cual forma parte hasta el día de hoy.

PhD in Thermal Engineering from the University of the Basque Country, Master’s degree in Economics, and Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. Since 2013, he has worked as a researcher at ah asociados, where he has contributed to the coordination and implementation of more than 20 European, national, and regional R&D&I projects, in addition to providing consultancy services.

Arquitecta titulada por la Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicadas (UPC) en 2019. Su trayectoria profesional inicial se ha desarrollado en el ámbito del diseño arquitectónico, participando en distintas fases del proyecto, desde la concepción y desarrollo de las propuestas hasta la elaboración de la documentación técnica, especialmente en proyectos residenciales.

En 2023 completa el Máster Universitario en Teoría y Diseño Arquitectónico por la Universidad de Navarra y, ese mismo año, se incorpora a AH Asociados, donde participa en proyectos de urbanismo en Pamplona, un área de especial interés dentro de su desarrollo profesional.

Andrea Martínez Gutiérrez is an architect, having graduated from the University of Navarra with a Bachelor's degree in Architectural Studies (2023) and a Master's degree in Architecture. She furthered her training with a Business Module offered in collaboration with IESE Business School (2024). She has expanded her technical expertise with training in BIM management and modeling, as well as urban and territorial analysis tools. 

Her work focuses on urban and landscape design, with a particular interest in urban regeneration and public space. She collaborated on planning projects at Chocarro y Urmeneta S.L.P. (2022-2023) and, since 2024, has been part of the ah asociados studio, where she works in the urban planning department on the development of new urban projects in Pamplona.

Santiago is an architect graduated from the National University of Tucumán (Argentina). He completed a postgraduate degree in Architecture and Technology at Torcuato Di Tella University (Argentina) and a Master’s Degree in Architectural Theory and Design at the University of Navarra (Spain). He has experience in architectural, urban design, and visual representation projects, and worked as a teaching and research assistant in the Morphology II and III courses at the National University of Tucumán.

Graduated in Building Engineering from the University of Granada in 2016, she has more than eight years of experience in the development of architectural projects using BIM methodology. She consolidated her professional career at FSGroup Engineering, specializing in structural modeling and coordination within collaborative environments. Since September 2024, she has been part of our team.

With a strong technical background and a specialized focus on construction digitalization, Amancay Hernández holds a qualification as Building Projects Technician from CIP Virgen del Camino (2024).

Her professional profile stands out for her command of BIM methodology, which she integrates transversally into the development and technical representation of architectural projects. Her career is closely linked to ah asociados, where she began as an intern before joining the architecture department.

In her current role, Amancay specializes in the modeling and technical development of building projects, contributing precision and efficiency to the execution of virtual models that ensure quality and technical rigor at every construction phase.

Inés es una arquitecta con una mirada fresca y un futuro brillante en el sector. Graduada por la Universidad de Navarra, cuenta con una mención en Gestión del Proyecto Técnico (2023) y un Máster Universitario en Arquitectura (2024). Tras dar sus primeros pasos profesionales en el departamento de arquitectura de FS Group y consolidar su experiencia en el estudio ByE arquitectos, Inés se ha integrado en 2025 al equipo de AH Asociados. Actualmente, aporta su talento en el departamento de Proyectos, donde sigue creciendo como una de las promesas de la arquitectura actual.

Juan is an architect graduated from the University of Navarra (2023), where he obtained a distinction in Urban Project Management. He completed the Master’s Degree in Architecture (2024) at the University of Navarra, complemented by the Business and Leadership Module at IESE Business School. His professional experience began prior to graduation, working at Alcolea + Tárrago Arquitects, where he was involved in the different stages of architectural projects. He is currently part of the AH Asociados team, developing planning and urban-scale projects.

Estefanía completed a Higher Vocational Degree at Colegio Técnico Carlos III in 2023. She began her professional career at the law firm Écija Abogados in 2024, where she carried out accounting and document management tasks, gaining experience in the administrative and financial fields. She is currently a member of the AH Asociados team, where she is responsible for accounting and administrative management.
